Apple to Replace Game Center with New Gaming App at WWDC

Apple is set to announce a new app focused on video games for the iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV at its Worldwide Developer Conference next week, according to Bloomberg. The app will serve as a hub for launching games, tracking achievements, and accessing leaderboards. It is expected to replace Apple’s Game Center and will feature editorial content, allowing users to access games available on the App Store. A Mac version of the app will also enable users to play games downloaded outside the App Store. This announcement follows Apple’s acquisition of RAC7, the studio behind the game Sneaky Sashtquatch, which was one of the first titles on Apple Arcade.
